Connections Cleveland got a first-hand look at active community engagement through the exploration of the Arts. Our crew captured the sights and sounds found at the 40th Annual Cain Park Arts Festival which was held Friday, July 7th –Sunday, July 9th. “Cain Park represents the city of Cleveland Heights itself—a vibrant, vital and diverse community”, reflects Cheryl L. Stephens, the current Mayor of Cleveland Heights. Over 79 years ago, former Mayor Frank Cain envisioned “the ravine with a river through it,” as…a Home to the Arts. His dream continues to reach new heights and unify this community. George Kozmon, World-Renowned Painter and the Artistic Director of the Cain Park Arts Festival, took a moment to talk with Connections Cleveland reporter: Yvonne Wideman about the Art Festival’s modest beginnings, its significance, and forecast what we can look forward to over the next forty years!
